This painting has hung in my house since I painted it about 12 years ago. As you can see, it was spring at Muir Beach. The Pelican Inn peeks out from the trees in the distance. My Akita dog "Shoko" and I visited Muir Beach several times a week during her lifetime, so it is a very special place. Also, plein-air painters often meet at the Pelican Inn for a beer after a day of painting - Yum!
