All of these paintings were inspired when I was studying with Chester Arnold, especially "Lemon Pie". A friend owns Chester's painting and I have always enjoyed it. So I asked permission to try doing one myself. Many "Tables" of my own creation followed. Great subject. I nearlly always put a very dark background behind them (a Renaissance tradition, as far as I can tell).
