Oil Paintings by Deborah Bertola

This is one of my oldest paintings. It has hung in my living room for about 10 years. I painted on a slop near Fort Baker with Chester Arnold and other students. It was so cold and windy it was hard to paint at all and even keep our footing. I think this painting captures the feeling of the day, especially the lovey subtle light on the buildings. Ironically, this painting makes me wish I could still paint like this. Has there actually been any "improvement", I ask my self?
